AI-suitable Consumer GPU' Prices - RTX 5080 and RTX 5090
Let’s compare prices for top-level consumer GPUs, that are suitable for LLMs in particular and AI in general. Specifically I’m looking at RTX-5080 and RTX-5090 prices.

I’ve taken screenshots of cheapest prices for in-stock graphic cards on the three prominent Australian computer parts shops.
And you can also check prices five months ago - June 2025: RTX-5080 and RTX-5090 prices, and four months ago - July 2025: RTX-5080 and RTX-5090 prices, and last month -NVidia RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 prices in Australia - October 2025.
TL;DR
Comparing to November 2025, average prices for cheap variants of RTX 5080 stayed the pretty much same at $1,786, comparing to last month’s $1,782.
And as we see, in last three months the prices for cheapest RTX 5090 cards rose 12.9% higher - from $4282 to $4,832.
The recommended NVidia price for the RTX 5080 is $2019, and MRSP for RTX 5090 is $4039. See here and here. No change.
As we remember now, in the end of November we have (or at least supposed to have) a Black Friday sales. Prices are moving different directions.
RTX 5090 prices
Right now, in the beginning of October 2025 the average price for cheap (lol) GPU variant of the RTX 5090 in Australia is 4,832 which is 12.9% higher than last month’s $4,282.
Centrecom’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5090 is $4,899 AUD.

PCCG’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5090 is $4,999 AUD.

Scorptec’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5090 is $4.599 AUD.

RTX 5080 prices
In the beginning of October 2025 the average price for for cheapest RTX 5080 in Australia was $1,786 AUD which is very close to last month’s $1,786.
Centrecom’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5080 is $1,769 AUD.

PCCG’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5080 is $1,839 AUD.

Scorptec’s lowest price of the in-stock rtx-5080 is $1,749 AUD.
