Datatyper (vanliga)

  • Numeriska: smallint, integer, bigint, decimal(p,s), numeric, real, double precision, serial, bigserial
  • Text: text, varchar(n), char(n)
  • Booleska: boolean
  • Temporala: timestamp [with/without time zone], date, time, interval
  • UUID: uuid
  • JSON: json, jsonb (rekommenderas)
  • Array: type[] t.ex. text[]
  • Nätverk: inet, cidr, macaddr
  • Geometriska: point, line, polygon etc.

Replikering (högnivå)

  • WAL-filer strömmar från primärreserv
  • Nyckelinställningar: wal_level, max_wal_senders, hot_standby, primary_conninfo
  • Verktyg: pg_basebackup, standby.signal (PG ≥12)

Fällor & Tips

  • Använd alltid jsonb, inte json, för indexering och operatörer.
  • Föredra timestamptz (tidzon-medveten).
  • DISTINCT ON är Postgres-guld för “top-N per grupp”.
  • Använd GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY istället för serial.
  • Undvik SELECT * i produktionsfrågor.
  • Skapa index för selektiva filter och join-nycklar.
  • Mät med EXPLAIN (ANALYZE) innan optimering.
